So my english teacher's started this new "self-directed unit", and its killing me slowly. Anyway, i wrote this poem as one of the assignments and i really like it and want to share. Here it goes...
"Relationship" is like a favorite song
You play him over and over
It seems like you belong
Each lyric draws you closer
It feels like you can’t get enough
But then suddenly you do
And it’s irritating like a constant cough
No more the inseparable two
Oh weren’t you so sick with love?
You’d write his words on your palm
Then safely hide them in your glove
Angry, you’d let his melody make you calm
Sad, you’d let it help you cry
Never existed a greater trust
How can the well now be so suddenly dry?
How can everything be lost?
And after many lonely years,
You hear him one more time
Memories flood your eyes with tears
It would be so funny if she saw this online and then i'd have to prove to her that it's actually my blog.
